Summer lovin'
May 13, 2005
Wow. A much await update. I don't have much to say, really. How boring. ..... I took Kris to meet his friend, Glenn, today. And then I felt the need to carry on driving instead of go into the turning/junction that leads to my house. So I went and topped up my petrol. And then drove to Canterbury. 'Cause why not? But my car kept cutting out. The steering goes weird and it's hard to control the car, and it sort of jolts. But when I switch the engine on (or off and on), it goes back to normal. It's so weird, and I hate it. I'm not very superstitious, but seeing as it's Friday 13th, I'm going to boil it down to being bad luck - and tomorrow... all will be well! Hopefully. Listening to Feeder. They're really cool. Am totally jealous of Claire at the moment, for having Rooster's album. I so totally want it. But I so totally do not want to spend MORE money. *shakes head in despair* I got some money recently.... And I've basically gone shopping-mad. I've got everything I need from Summer, though. Namely, Cornwall. But it's all things I'll take with me to NZ - as while all you British (or American, or... European, whatever) lot are suffering through Winter... I'll be in NZ - swimming through yet ANOTHER Summer, and then when I get home from NZ... ANOTHER Summer. Glorious days. Can't wait. Ummmmm. I got a new book. The Tigers Child by Torey Hayden. It's the sequel to 'One Child'. It was only released a couple weeks ago, if that (the sequel, I mean). I haven't started reading it yet though, as I'm currently reading a book called "things we knew were true" by Nicci Gerrard (otherwise known as Nicci French). It's REALLY good. The other night, while watching a new movie channel called "true movies" (a channel that only shows movies that are based on true stories, or based on books which are true stories :p), I caught a film called Untamed Love. Based on the book One Child by Torey Hayden!! I was like... shocked out of my brain. I watched it. It was really good - though now half as good as the book (no film ever is, in my opinion)... except for the fact.. it makes it all the more real. Lovely story! So, yea. Bruno is just about tamed. He's 9 weeks old today. *checks calender* .. I think that means he was born on March 11! Don't quote me on it, though. He's still such a baby, though. So small, and scruffy and sweet. I love him to bits! But, that's it, really. Looking forward to Summer, like never before. Kept getting random "I CANT WAIT FOR SUMMER!!!" bursts, which is weird. Going to Cornwall, hanging out on the beach. And then house-sitting, looking after Lucy for 3 weeks. Wedding preparations. And then NZ! Yeah, I'm a happy bean, in general.
